LA PINATELLE CAMPSITE

The Pinatelle campsite is an ideal base for walking and outdoor holidays. A whole variety of walks are within easy reach of the campsite, from ridge walks affording stunning views, to exciting gorge walks to local ambles, taking in villages and gorges. There are lots of sporting activities available nearby too.
We will be happy to provide you with all the information you need to make the most of your holiday.

THE CAMPSITE

The campsite is at the foot of the small perched village of St Auban, which is dominated by the rocky Tracastel ridge. This family run campsite has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is set deep in the heart of the rural Arriere Pays, surrounded by forests, mountains and rivers with a stunning view of the Clue de St Auban.
THE POOL

We have a swimming pool for you to relax beside, a great place to enjoy the view and refreshments from the nearby bar. Deck chairs are provided. The pool is suitable for both children and adults.

THE SNACK BAR

The snack bar is a friendly meeting place, open every day from morning to evening, where we are always happy to welcome you, on your own or with friends. Come and have a coffee or soft drink, or treat yourself to an ice cream.
Come and enjoy a lovely relaxing meal; we have home made pizzas and a wide ranging menu which we hope will offer something to please everyone in the family.
ENTERTAINMENTS

In the height of the season we organise events based around a whole variety of different themes such as dance evenings, karaoke nights, etc...

For children as for the adults, there is a boules pitch, a volley ball court, table tennis tables, table football, and to keep even the smallest of people entertained we have a children’s play area with slide and swings.

For sports lovers or for those who enjoy the open air you will find yourselves in the ideal holiday spot to enjoy yourselves.


The Esteron valley offers lots of sporting activities, enjoy the lovely wooded paths and tracks on foot or on horse back (there are riding stables 200m from the campsite) or on mountain bike.

There is a good variety of rock climbing nearby and in particular in the Clue de Saint Auban itself.


There is a challenging via ferrata at Puget-Theniers (30mins), and the world's first underground via ferrata at La Mouliere (30mins), next to the Forest of Adventure which has a 470m zip wire. There are at least nine stunning canyons to visit and descend along the length of the Clue de l'Esteron...

PLACES TO VISIT
There are lots of places to visit like the Citadel at Entrevaux, Le Lac de Castillon and Lac d’Allos. The Verdon Gorge is only an hour away by car. Day trips are also possible to the Cote d’Azur with such tourist attractions as Marineland (Antibes), Monaco, St Paul de Vence, the glass making factory at Biot, and lots of museums and art galleries.
